Every swell is a ramp
Squall Riders is jet-ski racing on a living ocean. There is no track to follow, only the swell: climb a wave face flat out, launch off the lip and fly. Hit it faster and you fly higher. Dive onto the back of the next wave and the fall turns into raw speed. Slam flat into a face and you lose it all.Trick it, land it, boost it
- Tap for a no-hander or a superman, hold for a backflip, push a direction for a barrel roll, press again for a double
- Every clean landing charges SURGE. Burn a charge to blast past a rival
- Perfect slides, perfect gates and big airs charge it too, but come down mid-trick and you are swimming
Three tracks, three storms
- Lighthouse Reef: open-sea swell round a lonely lighthouse, from golden hour into a full thunderstorm
- Harbor Surge: slalom between anchored ships, then the storm swell slamming the breakwater as night falls over the city
- Arctic Drift: thread a canyon of towering icebergs and launch off ice ramps below a glacier, from the low polar sun through a snow squall to the aurora
Six ways to ride
- Storm Race: two laps against four rivals. First across the line wins
- Time Trial: just you, the course and the ghost of your best run
- Stunt Park: ramps, gaps and rings. Land big, land clean and chain it for 90 seconds
- Splash Ball: one on one against a rival rider: shove a giant ball into their goal and keep it out of yours
- Slalom: carve between the buoys. Every missed gate costs you two seconds
- Big Wave: ride the face of a monster swell and stay on it as long as you dare
