RIA 26 is an off-road vehicular combat game set in a storm-covered desert arena, where every driver is fighting for the same thing: to be the last one standing.
Get behind the wheel of an armed buggy, hunt down your rivals, and make the most of whatever the battlefield throws at you. You'll have powerful weapons at your disposal, but knowing how to drive, when to attack, and when to get out of trouble is just as important as landing your shots.
And when the match ends, your career is only getting started.
An arena worth learning
The desert isn't just a backdrop. It's part of how you fight.
The arena is packed with rugged off-road terrain, elevated ridges, open stretches, rocky plateaus, deep bowls, ruins, and obstacles that can completely change the way an encounter plays out.
Stormy conditions and blowing dust add to the atmosphere, while illuminated red and blue towers provide distinctive landmarks across the wasteland.
Take the high ground to line up an attack, use obstacles to break away from incoming fire, or tear across open ground to chase down a damaged opponent.
There are also destructible objects scattered throughout the environment, adding another layer of chaos when vehicles and explosives start flying.
Learning the terrain gives you an advantage, but you'll still need to think quickly when several enemies decide you're their next target.
Every match is a fight to the finish
Once the countdown ends, you're free to take on the arena however you like.
Enemy drivers patrol, pursue, and attack, creating battles that can quickly turn from a one-on-one fight into complete chaos.
You'll need to manage your vehicle's health and armor, keep an eye on nearby threats through your combat HUD and radar, and decide which opponents are worth engaging.
Your buggy comes equipped for a fight, with weapons including:
Mounted Cannon — Keep the pressure on rival vehicles with sustained gunfire.
Lock-On Rockets — Acquire targets and send guided explosives their way.
Mortar — Bring additional explosive firepower into the battle.
Mines — Leave dangerous surprises for enemies following your route.
Weapon pickups throughout the arena give you opportunities to replenish or expand your available firepower during a match.
Vehicle damage matters too. A badly damaged buggy can start burning, and taking one hit too many can bring your run to an explosive end.
As opponents are eliminated, the fight moves closer to its final showdown. Stay alive, finish off the remaining rivals, and claim the title of RIA Champion.
There's more to do than just win
You don't have to spend every match concentrating entirely on eliminations.
Wasteland Contracts introduce additional objectives to tackle while the battle is underway.
You might be working towards Long Haul, covering distance across the arena, pushing your speed for Full Throttle, building up drifting time for Sand Drifter, or making progress towards Storm Runner.
Rival Pressure challenges also encourage you to take risks around hostile vehicles rather than simply avoiding every encounter.
These objectives give you something different to focus on between fights, and completing them adds another accomplishment to your match results.
You can concentrate on winning, go after your contracts, or try to do both without getting yourself destroyed.
Build your RIA career
Your progress doesn't end when you leave the arena.
RIA 26 features a pilot career system where completed matches, eliminations, and victories contribute experience towards your next level.
Your Pilot Dossier keeps track of your career, including your XP, pilot level, victories, eliminations, and other performance records.
There are also 50 in-game achievements to work towards, rewarding different milestones and accomplishments throughout your time in the wasteland.
Some sessions might be about improving your elimination record. Others might be about finishing contracts, reaching your next level, or finally securing a victory after a string of difficult matches.
There's always another milestone to pursue.
See how you performed
Whether you win or lose, you'll be able to look back at what happened.
The Match Debrief brings together your results, including eliminations, time survived, distance travelled, and completed Wasteland Contracts.
Your match history and career statistics give you a way to follow your progress over time and see how each battle contributes to your overall record.
Sometimes you'll finish a match wondering how you survived. Other times, you'll know exactly what went wrong.
Either way, there's another chance to do better.
Play solo or with friends
Take on the desert alone against AI-controlled rivals, or get a group together for LAN multiplayer supporting up to four players.
Coordinate attacks, back each other up when enemies close in, and enjoy the chaos of fighting across the wasteland together.
